Understand who is responsible for what.
Use this information before requesting an introduction or choosing a home care company.
Memory+’s role
Memory+ provides general education about home care and possible introductions to independent companies. We do not deliver care, employ or supervise caregivers, diagnose conditions, determine benefits eligibility or provide legal or medical advice.
Provider selection is your decision
An introduction is not a certification, endorsement of clinical suitability, complete market search or guarantee of quality, safety, availability or outcomes. Ask the provider to verify licensing or registration where applicable, insurance, caregiver screening, relevant training, supervision, references and its complaint process.
How Memory+ is paid
Families pay their chosen care provider directly. Memory+ receives referral fees from providers. Our introductions therefore involve a financial relationship. They do not represent a complete or financially independent comparison of the market.
Before an introduction, ask which company is being suggested, why it may fit your general preferences, and how referral compensation relates to the options presented. Confirm any applicable fee terms and what information you authorize us to share. The provider sets its own care prices and written agreement.
The company’s agreement controls care
The chosen provider must assess needs, confirm the tasks it can accept, match and supervise staff, explain prices and arrange visits. Review its written service agreement, cancellation terms, backup arrangements and privacy practices before signing. Any clinical needs belong with appropriately qualified healthcare professionals.
Your information and consent
Keep this inquiry to basic contact details, location and general preferences. Before an introduction, tell us which company may contact you and what information you authorize us to share. That company’s separate privacy practices apply to information it receives. Read our privacy policy.
Veterans and benefits
Memory+ is not VA, a VA-endorsed service or a claims representative. VA and its programs determine eligibility, authorizations and covered services. Confirm provider participation and any personal cost directly. Our veterans page links to official resources.
Education has limits
Planning ahead may help you compare options and prepare for changing needs. It does not guarantee a longer life, prevent injury or ensure that home will remain an appropriate setting. Photographs and scenarios are illustrative.
